Alberta-born, singer-songwriter Paul Cournoyer released his self-titled debut EP in 2014. This rock record made waves on the radio waves with the tracks Yukon and J'y vais. After inspiring participation in the Rencontre qui chantent in Petite Vallée, Paul dedicates the next years to exploring sound and writing. His inspiration is by his musical influences, his roots and his life experiences.

In June 2019, he presents us with a ten-song opus entitled Le détroit, a contemplative album with pop flavours that revisits the stories and challenges that have marked his evolution under a sound universe that is both electro and acoustic. The first single, Sale Serpent, denounces the anonymous tyrants who ravage the public forums of the Internet, and this one is spreading on the radio waves across the country. You'll find Cournoyer performing across the country in 2019-2020, and he'll also be featured on the upcoming season of Ballade on the Unis channel. The release of Le détroit marks an exciting start to Cournoyer's career.
